Guide to your instrument

Every instrument is unique. Each one reflects our experience and creativity, as well as your wishes and trust. At every step of the building process, we involve you to tailor the instrument specifically to you and your needs. Discover here what the individual steps and the entire process of creating your instrument could look like.

  • The first step is the most important one! Send us a non-binding message or give us a call, and we’ll get back to you right away. In a no-obligation appointment, we’ll talk about your wishes, questions, concerns, and expectations for your instrument.

  • Once we clearly understand what your instrument should do for you, have discussed your budget, and gotten to know you better, we move on to the planning phase. Here, we decide which electronics, hardware, and design elements will be used in your instrument. You’re of course warmly invited to be part of this process if you’d like to be involved in the decision-making.

  • Once the planning is complete, we begin the building process. For this, we try to use sustainable and high-quality materials, explicitly focusing on local woods. Our locally sourced, thermo-treated woods offer equally excellent tonal qualities while being far less harmful to the environment. The crafting process of your instrument will take between 6 and 9 months. During this time, you're welcome to visit our workshop by appointment to get a glimpse of the process. Alternatively, we’re happy to send you regular photos and updates if you prefer.

Uncover our story

Our workshop in the far north of Germany, near Hanover, has been operating since 2024 and was officially opened in July 2025. Since then, we've been running the workshop as a team of two. Under Amperium, we offer guitar and amplifier services and repairs, while Büchele Instruments stands for our custom-built guitars and amplifiers. Feel free to stop by and get to know the team and their stories.

Upcoming events

Once a month, we invite local singer-songwriters to share their world with us in a cozy, intimate studio concert — accompanied and supported by our instruments. You can also meet us at selected fairs, exhibitions, and events, where we showcase our craftsmanship and creations.

Some of these woods are treated with an innovative thermal process that gives them acoustic properties equal to traditional tropical tonewoods, which we usually try to avoid.

  • In that case, first of all — awesome, we’re excited! The best way to get started is by filling out our contact form. Just send us a message, and we’ll get back to you with a short form where we ask you a few questions to better understand your needs and wishes.

  • Our guitar prices start at 3500 €, and our amplifiers at 4200 €. Depending on modifications, customizations, and material variations, the final price will be adjusted accordingly. But don’t worry — we always discuss everything together and tailor it individually to your needs.

  • The usual waiting time for your instrument is 3–5 months. This can vary depending on modifications or special customizations — but we’ll always discuss everything with you personally and adjust the timeline to fit your specific build.

  • Absolutely! Our approach is to tailor every guitar to your individual needs — so all of our models are fully customizable to suit you.

    For our amplifiers, we offer a carefully selected series of base models. However, if you have a specific request or need for a custom amp, feel free to reach out to us — we’ll work with you to create a version that’s made just for you.

  • Yes, we repair all string instruments — from acoustic, semi-acoustic, and electric guitars to basses, ukuleles, and amplifiers.
